The Gardens starburst designs reminds us of the brilliance of Dr. Kings life and the impact of his ideals on humankind.  There are Pink roses in the center that represents Mrs. Kings oneness with Dr. King and her continuation of his work. There are red roses that weaves its way through the garden honoring other African Americans and their contributions to the history of the United States. There are various clusters of multi-colored roses that symbolizes the nations of the world and Dr. Kings message of peace through non violence.
