I was a 2016 recipient of the George M. Sparks award. Out of all my accomplishments while at GSU, the Sparks Award is the one I am most proud. I was nominated by 13 Geosciences graduate students for my work as the department’s director of graduate studies. The Sparks Award recognizes GSU’s “unsung heroes: faculty, staff, and students who exemplify a willingness to go the extra mile with good humor and perseverance.”
