Art Vandenberg to Give World Community Grid Lecture
Join us on Wednesday, November 12 from 2pm to 3pm in CURVE for a World Community Grid guest lecture.
Former Georgia State University Director of Advanced Campus Services, Art Vandenberg will explain how the World Community Grid, the world’s largest public computing grid, is supporting many research projects that are leading to a better understanding of poverty and are contributing to more effective treatments for various diseases.
As a public computing grid, individuals and entire organizations can participate by contributing computing power from their personal or work computer and from their mobile devices. An unobtrusive application, World Community Grid has no impact on the day-to-day use of individual computers or devices.
Join us on November 12 to learn more about how research teams are making a positive impact from unused processing power and how you can be a part of and contribute to scientific breakthroughs.
