Britton is a third year PhD student with a concentration in organic chemistry, working in Dr. Yin’s lab. He graduated from Berry College with a B.S. in Organic Chemistry. In his spare time, Britton enjoys soccer, his dogs, and spending time with family.

Nicola is a third year Ph.D. student working in Dr. Binghe Wang’s lab group. Her research focuses on design & delivery of CO prodrugs. She has been a member of CGSA since 2021 and loves baking sweet treats in her free time.

Carine is a first-year Ph.D. student with a concentration in biochemistry and is working in Dr. Suri Iyer’s lab. She graduated with an M.S. in biochemistry from Georgia State University and a B.S in Chemistry from Georgia College & State University. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her family and friends.

Md. Shamim is from Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his undergrad (B.S) and grad studies (M.S) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has 5 years of working experience in R&D sectors of the pharma industry. In 2018, he joined Georgia State University as a Graduate Research Assistant for Doctoral studies and is now in his final year (yay!). His research is focused on the rational design, modification, and synthesis of NIR fluorophores for biomedical imaging, tumor targeting, and cancer immunotherapy. Aside from his academics, he loves to network with new people, explore new culinary cuisines, listen to music, and travel.

Rujuta is a second year Master’s student working in Dr. Binghe Wang’s lab group at Georgia State University. She is currently developing a carbon monoxide based diagnostic tool kit for the dietary management of phenylketonuria. Aside from research, her interests include cars, makeup and calligraphy.

Bilkis Mehrin Moni is a first-year Ph.D. student at Georgia State University working in Dr. Gadda’s lab with a concentration in Biochemistry. Her research focuses on the mechanistic investigation of flavin-dependent enzymes and their biochemical and structural characterization. She graduated with an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Georgia State University and B.Sc. in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In her spare time, she loves to travel to new places, try different foods, and go shopping.
