are proud to offer preparatory workshops for the Atlanta Regional Brain Bee

Location: Emory University, Whitehead Biomedical Research Building (Room 300), 615 Michael Street, Atlanta, GA 30322 (Free parking in the Michael Street Parking Deck) Emory University Maps
Eligibility: Georgia students ages 13 to 19 and Georgia Science Teachers are welcome to attend the workshops. Attending the workshops is not a prerequisite for competing in the Brain Bee. Furthermore, students may attend the workshops without competing in the Brain Bee.
Description: The Brain Bee Workshops are designed to help students prepare for the Brain Bee competition at the regional level. The volunteer workshop instructors are from Emory University and Georgia State University. They will use a fun and interactive format to help students prepare for the upcoming competition. There will also be the opportunity to practice sample Brain Bee questions. These workshops also give students in the region the opportunity to spend a day with other students sharing similar interests in science!
Cost: $40 per person per workshop. Discounted group rates are available. Tuition Assistance is available for those students who qualify for National Free or Reduced Lunch Program at their school. For more information, contact Jennifer Walcott at atlbrainbee@gmail.com.
NOTE: Workshop #1 is different from Workshop #2. Also, the organizers strive to make the workshops slightly different from the ones the previous year. We love having returning participants as well as new participants. Participants are allowed to register for one or two workshops. Attending a workshop is not a requirement for competing in the Brain Bee competition. Also, competing in the competition is not a requirement for attending a workshop.
