Neuroscience Education Programs

The Neuroscience School is an intensive week-long college-prep summer opportunity at Georgia State University. This fee-based program helps high school students prepare to pursue undergraduate science majors. Participants finish the program excited about neuroscience, with classroom and laboratory experience that prepares them for future science-related academic and/or professional endeavors.

Institute on Neuroscience (ION) is an eight-week summer internship program, sponsored by the Neuroscience Initiatives at Emory University, Georgia State University, and Yerkes National Primate Research Center. This highly selective program is designed for high school students who excel in science and are interested in research. It is administered through the education outreach department of the Center for Behavioral Neuroscience. This 15-year old initiative is currently working on a new funding model for future years.
