Notes on your online portfolio
When you start building your online portfolio, ask yourself some questions:

  • What sets me apart from other job candidates?
  • How can my online portfolio best represent my skill set and my uniqueness?
  • Who is my intended audience, and what are their expectations?
  • What content should I include in the portfolio?
  • What tone and voice should I use to represent myself?
  • What’s the best format to present my portfolio content?

Content-wise, your portfolio could include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • A good, concise welcome message
  • A good professional profile
  • Your resume
  • Sample works that best reflect your abilities
