The Blogging Project

The Internet is a great frontier of knowledge and communication. Blogs offer one way of getting students voices out, pushing their skills in writing, and trying new techniques in writing well for the Internet.

From writing and building blogs as assignments, students can:

  • Continue to develop skills in writing and research.
  • Introduce techniques in writing for the Internet.
  • Learn the basics of working with content management systems (CMS) like wordpress to create blogs & websites.

Students have easy access to:

EduBlogs: A more secure and academically ready version of the WordPress system. Each student, faculty, and staff member at Georgia State University has access to their own site. Since EduBlogs is web-based, students can work on this project from any computer with an Internet connection, but also receive support and assistance from staff members at the CATLabs.

On the iPad:

If you are thinking about checking out iPads for your class from CETLOE, this is a project that can be done using this device. With the EduBlog app, students can write posts and pages on the go while also working on their blog from their computer.
