An Introduction to the Writer

DANIELLE “DANI” GRANT

Danielle Grant studies Journalism and Political Science at Georgia State University (GSU). She enjoys the public relations aspect of journalism most, and this reflects in her current occupation as a client coordinator and social media manager at Jamison Shaw Hairdressers. 

 

At Southeast Whitfield High School, she was a member of student government and a writer for the school newspaper, the Southeast Sentinel. Upon graduating as a Whitfield County Scholar, she enrolled at GSU to pursue her career in public relations.

 

Born in the small town of Dalton in North Georgia, Grant took an early interest in the written word. Grant volunteers regularly at the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia. Before moving to Atlanta, she also frequently volunteered at City of Refuge, a homeless shelter organized by Antioch Baptist Church. At Georgia State, she is a member of Active Minds,  educating others about the prevalence of mental illness. 

 

Danielle’s career goal is to be a public relations manager for politicians and work on campaigns across the United States. Following graduation, she plans to intern for political campaign leading up to the 2020 election.. She wants to prove herself as an invaluable member of the campaign team to reach her ultimate goal.
