We at the Lai Lab are happy to report our R03 project has been funded. This project will integrate data from landmark studies of children’s reactions to four of the most costly disasters in U.S. history. Our goal is to understand how and why children differ in their reactions to disasters. The long-term goal of this work is to develop risk models to more effectively use scarce resources to help children who have been exposed to disasters.
