The photo only shows a man’s face from the top of his head to his shoulders and a bag of empty skittles covering his mouth.by the picture being that it is only his head takes away a lot of meaning for this picture.Such as how he was walking or was he just standing and also the background. If it was a head to toe picture ones could have seen his whole back ground and the way he was standing and if he was holding anything. This photo speaks numerous of thing about the “Black Lives Movement” the first thing that comes  to mind is the Trevon Martin It brings back three important things about the case which was skittles, Arizona, and hoodie. On the night of February 26 Trevon Martin went to the store to get a packed of skittles and a Arizona. prior to that George Zimmerman was apart of the neighborhood watch and he was following Trevon Martin while harassing the police every time he thought it was necessary to call. He called another time and told the dispatcher over the phone that there was a suspicious guy and the dispatcher ask was he following the suspect and he replied yes after reviewing the story and the news i thought to myself it was racism from the beginning. Think about it! an innocent Black African American guy walking at night from the store with a hoodie on walking home of course the majority would think he is suspicious and think that he is a menace to society. In conclusion not only does black lives matter “All Lives Matter” we as a whole have to stop separating each group and races and work together to stop the violence and nobody is better nor different than each other.

  1. This is an interesting commentary of the image. Can you focus on design? How is this image composed in such a way as to create a certain effect? What if it was a picture of the whole man (featured in the image here) and not just his head. How would that affect us differently?
