Project 3: Self-Designed Final

Shadow & Light:

Women are often pushed back into the shadows, while society shines a bight spotlight on men. Their accomplishments forgotten, and their image overshadowed by male dominance. This project was inspired by a small idea to explore the beauty of light, shadows, and dramatic lighting to capture striking or moody images.

The goal was to explore the inner struggles of women within the darkness, their journey in finding beauty within their solitude and reaching the light at the end of the tunnel. A narrative in which each photograph tells a different stage in their emotional journey by the use of props, natural lighting, and silhouettes.
