Your final project in Drawing 1 will explore the theme of dreams, dreaming, or dream states and you will approach this project in a more personal and creative way.
Use real-life and/or photographic references to produce a drawing that is accurate to the details of the objects/ environments of your drawing.
Reflection & Analysis
- I would give my drawing the title of “Still on a High”.
- The subject of my drawing was inspired by my recent trip to WWE Wrestlemania 40 in Philadelphia. I titled it “Still on a High” as I began working on this project filled with so much joy and excitement from the event.
- I want to bring my viewers into my world and learn about me. I have a passion for wrestling and this drawing shows that. I want the viewers to think of a passion they have that brings them immense joy.
- My project sources were my pictures from the event and wrestling championship belt.
- I encountered the challenge of blending to create shadows. I also had trouble enlarging my original sketch to the larger piece of paper.
- I would lighten the hat and widen the head shape for accuracy.
- I am happiest with the use of the composition and being able to channel my excitement into my art. This piece holds a special place in my heart. This will remind me exactly how I felt when I attended my first Wrestlemania.
