Lee Branum-Martin, Ph. D. Investigator

Dr. Branum-Martin is an associate professor in the Psychology department at Georgia State University. His research interests include issues in psychological and educational measurement, especially those applied to language and literacy, and has published extensively on those interests. He has over 16 years of experience applying theory-based latent variable models to language and literacy data and routinely involves multilevel confirmatory factor models. Dr. Branum-Martin is currently collaborating on several IES and NIH-funded grants at GSU’s Research on the Challenges of Acquiring Language and Literacy Initiative to clarify issues of measurement versus theory for special populations, including adults who struggle with reading. Dr. Branum-Martin is also a Co-PI on Dr. Greenberg’s IES-funded Center for the Study of Adult Literacy.
