These snapshots were taken during a camping trip that Margaret made with Samuel Morris in July of 1920. Later, his daughter Murrow Morris remembered that her father “found her [Margaret] attractive, but lots of men did. Daddy was smitten by her, yes.” Samuel’s last date with Margaret was “to a costume ball where she met ‘Red’ Upshaw and abandoned [him].”
