About this project: This is part of a three-drawing project we did for an atmospheric perspective, one-point perspective, and two-point perspective. We chose reference materials and used certain materials for this project (ink, ink wash, water color pencils, and color pencils) to accurately portray depth of space.
This drawing took quite a while because I started out with such faint ink wash to lay out some orthagonal lines and key areas before I did anything else. The layers were all built on a gradual increase in ink wash intensity and finished off with the darkest parts being a straight ink. This was pretty fun and different for me because I played more loosely witht he ink wash over the stonework but was very precise on the linework.
