Class: Intro Studio
Date Completed: Fall Semester 2023
This was a class project where I collected different colored leaves, pinecones, and branches to form a sculpture representing the fall season. In this picture I captured the yellow leaf about to blow away, but the branch holds it down. Each image was photographed using concrete for the background which provided lots of texture.
Statement of Inspiration:
These photos were inspired by the works of Land artist Andy Goldsworthy. He demonstrates that tools are not required to create a work of art. Whatever you find on land can spark creativity.
