Visualize Data using Data Driven Documents javascript

Data is growing day by day. Today, Google receives more than 4 million search queries per minute from 2.4 billion internet population, as mentioned by one of data sources. This is one side of the story and other side is that data have been generating through many ways like biological experiments, astronomical research, weather forecast, social networking sites, banking data, e-commerce websites etc. It is very important to store data efficiently and retrieve useful knowledge from huge volumes of data. Data preprocessing and data mining algorithms play vital role in extracting useful information. My areas of interest are data mining and machine learning.

Currently i am working on Nation Branding and Executive Approval Database (EAD) projects in SIF along with Thomas and Nagi. Nagi had already explained in detail about these projects in his blog. I don’t want to repeat same thing again here. These projects are related to data mining and data visualization fields. We are using a library called D3.js for data visualization.

D3 stands for data driven documents. D3.js is a javascript library which manipulates scalable vector graphics of html page. it has various inbuilt features to render the data in different forms bar graphs, line charts, dendograms, circles and many more. People have developed interesting visualizations. I have provided few links below. You can have fun time playing with these graphs. Developing these kind of diagrams is really tricky and takes considerable amount of time.

Data Visualization helps in better understanding of the data. Nation branding and Executive Approval Database projects have given me a chance to explore this area further.

I hope you guys understood about explosion of data and its importance.

Keep doing good work and have fun :).
