Originally from San Antonio, TX; Todd Wood has had an interest in music since an early age. His parents’ support of his musical endeavors has been constant since he picked up the trombone in middle school. Todd took an active interest in composing during high school and has attended Georgia State University since 2011 studying music composition. He studied Bass Trombone under Dr. Cory Mixdorf and now Dr. William Mann; and studies composition under Brent Milam. He has had two works premiered at Georgia State and he is involved in many ensembles throughout the school of music such as the GSU Trombone Choir, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, the GSU Blue Brass Ensemble, numerous chamber ensembles and the GSU Jazz Band. After he completes his undergraduate studies at GSU, Todd plans to attend graduate school for either composition or trombone performance.
