I have taken several Biology and Chemistry courses throughout my college career. My courses range from Introductory Biology all the way up to Biochemistry as an undergraduate student. My coursework has allowed me to be able to shadow doctors, volunteer in Blood Drives, tutor elementary students and meet a plethora of successful science geeks like me! As a future medical student, medical schools make it very clear that they prefer to have well-rounded candidates. Even though hospitality is not a part of my major, I was able to participate as an intern at Georgia Tech for a summer. My experience at Tech was spectacular. Moreover, I will be serving as an intern for a renowned medical company known as MedAssets. The best thing about both of these internships is that they were/are paid. There is nothing like receiving the gift of a paid internship. I am super excited about it and it couldn’t get any better. I have also had a several lab classes. My favorite were organic chemistry and genetics. Organic chemistry because the labs required lots of hands on and intense chemical reactions, formulas and other scientific extrapolations.
