E-Library in Georgia

The Start-up Cost

In order to solve this problem with the lowest cost, I will start opening the kid clubs such as drawing, acting, designing, leadership, public speaking, poetry making in several small rooms. Each room has 1-2 volunteers who are a instructors for kids and it has 1-2 high-tech supplies, so juvenile can practice and develop their imagination from here. During learning with real activities, I will introduce them new e-books relate to their passions. From that, the librarian will increase the visitors and the digital checkouts. For the adult, starting with several small groups are willing to learn in different devices such as new smartphones, modern computers, a drawing graphic design tablet, or powerful software  for the workplace. The classes are relevant, so they can take advantage for attending the course and meeting. Both plans may cost $1,500- $2,500 for each library:

  • Equipment and furniture: $1,000-$1,500
  • Website Marketing: $100-$200
  • Instructors and helpers (volunteers): $50-$100
  • Meal for volunteers: $50-$100
  • Materials: $100-$200
  • Utility: $100-$200

In summary, changing e-library from a location to another location with a small amount helps reduce the cost.
