E-books are running to swipe out the traditional books. As an entrepreneur, I will actively reduce the number of paper-books on the shelves and increase more apps for reading and learning tools. Library users now read at home in the apps. Instead of space for physical books and materials, using the area in the library for the activities and programs. From the Pew Internet & American Life Project, 63% of library users are interested in apps-based access to library materials and programs (1).
According to Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) review of the fiscal year 2017 in Georgia, there are 41,398,521 Virtual Visits about 1.5 times to 28,830,607 In-Person Visits. On average 30 persons are going to one event at a library (2,859,201/98,093), so we should increase the socializing events to improve the number of visitors. About half total check outs come from youth materials checkouts (15,923,674/ 35,517,426), so librarians may boost more advanced teenager materials in the showroom (2). Besides the digital books, I also progress learning programs for both adult and children. Promoting technology “after-working-hour” classes for workers and advancing “real-hand-experience” clubs for teenagers. Georgia workers with low/medium income can take digital classes because the technology will be an important benefit for their modern lives. For the adolescent, they can apply their knowledge from school into action when they attend the kid society.
