Special Theme Issue Narrative:
The purpose of this special theme issue to re-envision the educational futures of Black students within the educational institutions through critically examining past research and focusing on current research P-Adult. This special theme issue will feature the perspectives of interdisciplinary scholars in the fields of education, communication studies, women’s studies, and ethnic studies. The topics covered include a new vision for how we encapsulate the experiences of Black students historically, racially, culturally, socially, economically, and educationally within the 21st century in urban spaces.
Submission Timeline of the Proposed Special Theme Issue
November 2021 – Proposed authors submit articles.
February 2022 – Special theme editors return articles with acceptance, revise and resubmit, and/or rejection.
April 2022 – Final revisions are due to the special theme editors.
June 2022 – Final submissions sent to the Urban Review editorial team for acceptance, revise and resubmit, and rejection.
