If your teen is interested in participating in a study advertised through The TEA Project, or if they are interested in being a student #Ambassador for the TEA Project, please feel free to reach out to us at theteaproject@gsu.edu for more information.
All studies advertised by teens receive approval by Georgia State University’s Institutional Review Board. We always notify parents or guardians of teens who are participating or wanting to participate in our studies to provide the parent(s) and/or legal guardian(s) opportunity to tell us if they do not want their teen to participate. Studies advertised through the TEA Project and our student #Ambassadors are about behaviors, stresses, and feelings common to teens. Some of these might include understanding the mental health of teens, experience of peer pressure, bullying, substance use, the dynamics of dating relationships, etc.
Is my teen eligible? Every project is different. We have eligibility criteria for each research study. To find out more about our active projects, go here.
