About the play:
Fifty brides on the run. Fifty grooms in pursuit. A villa on the Italian coast becomes the battleground in this fierce, funny, and wildly physical remake of The Danaids by Aeschylus. Helicopters roar overhead. Pop songs pulse through the night. The brides dive, dance, and defy their fate as the grooms close in. When escape proves impossible, forty-nine fight back—and one risks everything for love. A dark comedy about power, passion, and rebellion—with odds that haven’t changed much since ancient Greece.
Performances will be held Feb. 27-Mar. 1 & Mar.6-8
Nightly rehearsals begin within a week of auditions.
*GSU students (cast or crew) must sign up for Theatre Practicum, a 1 credit hour course.
