Group Project: How I felt and What I Learned

I really enjoyed doing this project. I feel like it really helped me in terms of learning more about technology and editing.

I think as a group we realized how important it was to know the constraints and affordances of the different themes. While Divi had many affordances we struggled to figure out how the things changed on the back end changed the front end of the site.

I personally learned more about multimodality and the importance of visual text in a blog. I also feel like I learned that collaboration concerning a project about blogs and a website is much more challenging than a regular group project. That being said, I really enjoyed all the freedom we had to explore different ways to tackle the group project.

I feel like when I was looking for the blogs that I thought of as the best I was looking for posts that contained thick description and photos that related to the text. I was also looking for blogs that were informative, blogs that really showed the view of the author.

I would recommend this work to future editors because it is a wonderful learning experience. While it is challenging because it tests your skills individually and as a group, so much is gained from doing this project. Also, getting to work with someone from another class helps to bring in even more points of view and makes the project even more interesting. I am so glad I choose to participate in this project and feel that I will be able to continue to build off of the skills I learned in the class.
