-I had taken a magazine and found some good shapes with man-made stuff and also with something related to nature. Next, I cut it out. Then, on the first sheet, I laid those shapes on white paper and placed them in a compressed way. The next thing I did was draw the shape and fill it out with ink. The second one was the combination of negative and positive spaces. I designed it in such a way that everyone’s eyes moved from negative to positive spaces, but with the same shapes. And for the last one, I had to stick magazine pictures of what I had cut before and cut some more of the same shapes on a black sheet or maybe with cloth. For cutouts, I used a picture of interior design, which also had a plant and some man-made things. For my last sheet, I used some cloth and a black sheet.

IV. Shadow Puppet Show

-My puppet show was low-key based on a true story. My theme of the story was about rude people at Dunkin. I work there, and sometimes customers are rude, and that does ruin our day. I don’t like the way customers treat us. That’s why I thought of presenting this story. I had read a book called ‘Nindu the rude boy’ At first, I was just going to present this story, and I did give an outline of this story to Professor Lisa. She told me that maybe you can add something that is related to your life. And that’s when I thought I could change this story in my life. My story was 2.01 minutes long. I had three characters in my story. A good person, a rude person, and the last one was an employee. I have also made a Dunkin logo, a table and chair, a good coffee with a smile on it, and a bad coffee for the rude guy. I also made some donuts, a menu, and lastly, the counter table. I really enjoyed doing this.

What did I learn? I learned a lot about negative and positive spaces. And I loved how beautifully our eyes moved from black to white space.
