-Value and Mixed Media for this project, I first started by learning about contour, hatching, cross-hatching, stiple, and wash. Contour means the outer edge of the form of an object. The meaning of hatching is close parallel lines. Cross-hatching simply means the opposite of hatching. They are intersecting lines. Stiple means shading using small dots. Wash drawing is done with ink, where we add some water to a plate and then put the brush in the ink and wash the brush in the water, so it creates some shades. Then I drew bell peppers using these forms.

-This is called Contour.

-This is called hatching, cross-hatching, and stiple.

-This is called wash.

-This is all together… Contour, Hatching, Cross-hatching, Stiple and Wash.

-I also used colors in this project. I drew a skull using Conte Crayon.

-I looked in the mirror and did a self-portrait using the same Conte Crayon.

-What did I learn? I learned how to use Conte Crayon. I learned how to draw anything by just using lines and dots. I also learned to draw a self-portrait by looking in the mirror.
