The objective of this project is to develop an understanding of the fundamental principles of color theory and its application in art. Colors are broadly classified into two categories – chromatic and achromatic. Through this project, we also explore the concepts of complementary and analogous colors and how to utilize them effectively. Divided into three parts, the project provides a comprehensive guide to mastering color combinations and creating unique shades.
I. Color Chart
In the first part, we draw two-color tables that include chromatic and achromatic colors. Then, by adding black and white to the primary color, we can obtain different shades of the color. In the next step, we also need to obtain different shades of color, but without adding black and white. In fact, we can only create different colors by adding different amounts of color.
II. Landscape project
In the final step of this project, we had to choose a landscape picture and draw it using six different color schemes. These schemes include the original, analogous, split complementary, red hot and bezold, and cool and warm.
