Wire to Line- Creepy Crawly

This project is to make a creepy insect sculpture using wire. The sculpture must be three dimensional and stand on its own without props. We can combine different elements from 3 different insects and corporate them together to form a new insect. First we need to pick 3 insect we want to work with, and draw them out, learn about their function and habit. Then we think about how to combine the 3 together and make a blueprint.  I made a Scorpbeetle. He has the body of a beetle, wing of a honeybee, tail and legs of a scorpion. My moveable part is the tail, because when scorpions attack, they attack with their tail. Overall, I did enjoy working with wire, except it kind of hurt my finger. It does required some neat and detail work involved when working on wires. I learned how to attach joins together with twisting, how to keep the feet stable with folding it in an angel. The process was very fun, and I’m satisfied with my final project too.
