The famous and well known ice cream spot of Atlanta called Jeni’s Ice Cream is one of many small market shops located inside of Krog Street Market. Jeni’s Ice Cream is an all time favorite by many regulars and visitors to the area. They are known for making ice cream with all organic ingredients only and with no preservatives. Jeni’s Ice Cream located in the right back hand corner of Krog Street Market is a delight that all visitors must come and try!

Built Enviornment Description Interior Digital Record 2 – Hop City Bar
Upon walking into the Krog Street Market located immediately to the left is the Hop City Bar. Hop City Craft Beer and Wine is a large part of the Atlanta community and has one of the largest beer selections in the country and a very healthy wine selection as well. The Hop City bar is one of the main focuses inside Krog Street Market and what many customers come here for. There are many seating areas located around the out skirts of the bar which attract customers to sit back, lounge, and relax.
Built Environment Description Interior Digital Record 1 – Krog Street Market Entrance Sign
As soon as you turn onto Krog Street immediately to your left at the top of the street is Krog Street Market. This image is one side of the Krog Street Market that faces towards the customer parking lot which is valet optional. This image represents the official signage to the entrance of Krog Street Market and helps visitors locate the official entrance point of the building because of its many areas of entrances dispersed throughout the entire building.
Exterior Digital Record 8 – Pond
This is a picture of the gardens small pond which is located next to the sandbox and jungle gym. This pond is manmade but it is built to exemplify a real natural pond. The pond was quite murky and only had leaves floating around in it, however it adds a peaceful and relaxing touch to the atmosphere of the garden with the still noises of the water. There is also a small bridge at the head of the pond that is made of stone which people can walk across if they please.
Exterior Digital Record 7 – Treehouse/ Jungle Gym
There is a mini jungle gym located in the back edge of the garden and next to the chicken coop. This jungle gym has an old school feel to it because of how it is built of all wood. There is also a tire swing and a small slide connected to it. The jungle gym is primarily for the kids that come to this garden to play on while learning about the natural resources the garden has to offer.

Exterior Digital Record 5 – Engraved Dedication Bricks
Located directly under the gazebo on the ground is floor filled with engraved bricks honoring loved ones, community leaders, and respected figures. The dedication bricks are in honor of those who have donated for the funding of the garden and active members of the community. These bricks add insight to the funding of the garden and add a beautiful touch to the atmosphere of the gazebo!
Exterior Digital Record 4 – Garden Gazebo
Located directly inside the middle of the garden is the beautifully built gazebo. The whole garden is centered around the gazebo which has a beautiful brick walkway and built in seating on all sides. The gazebo is a great peaceful environment to come sit, relax, and enjoy nature that is in the garden.
Exterior Digital Record 3 – Edgewood Sign and Sandbox
The Edgewood sign located on the far back fencing of the garden is a vital component of the garden. The Edgewood sign is painted in a fun and colorful manner to indicate its open environment for kids and also associating aspects of the garden into the image fruits and vegetables such as grapes and tomatoes painted into the image. The garden also has a small sandbox area in which kids can come and play in.
Exterior Digital Record 2 – Chicken Coop
Located on the far back fencing of the middle left side of the garden is the Edgewood Community Learning Gardens very own chicken coop! This chicken coop houses approximately 10 chickens including two beehives that are located inside the chicken coop. The chickens help the bees survive by eating beetles that get into the hive and destroy it, which intern results in the healthy bees pollinating the garden to help keep it growing.
