Medium: Paper
For this project I had to create 8 sculptures, using an entire piece of white paper for each sculpture. I also had to create an overall theme and system for the project. I had to intentionally photograph them, dedicate one sketchbook page for each, and add the name, number, photograph, drawing, process, and description for each sculpture.
The process of this project was very detailed. First I chose a theme, something subjective, abstract, and playful, therefore, I chose to represent different art movements and styles. I started experimenting with paper, techniques, textures, concepts, and art movements. After multiple tries, discussion posts, and corrections, I had all 8 sculptures ready. Then, I individually photographed each using my desk, a roll of paper, my desk lamp, and my phone camera, trying different angles, lighting techniques, and values. After selecting a picture for each sculpture I printed them, glued each on one page, then make a respective drawing representative of each sculpture, a title with the drawing, and finally, a paragraph for their process, and a paragraph for their description.
