For Prompt #2 nature inspirations, I was required to create a sculpture using natural materials. I started this project by taking a walk around my backyard and found a lot of fallen leaves and some branches; knowing that these two were the only available natural resources I could use (unfortunately, there weren’t any other materials such as pebbles) I planned out what I could possibly create. Immediately, a tree came to my mind! I thought that it’d be adorable to create a tiny tree under one of the trees at the front of my house.
For prompt #3, I spent an hour drawing things that I am unfamiliar with, or things that are my “hodgepodges.” My hodgepodge are houses, trees, flowers, left hands, and right side profiles. It is so difficult for me to get the right demensions for houses–I always end up making them look a little sloppy. For trees and flowers, I actually love nature and spend a lot of time drawing it. Even so, plants are always challenging for me to fully express/ put down on a paper.
Personally, I struggled the most with the left hands and right side profiles for this prompt. I am not sure if this has anything to do with being right handed, but I feel like I always comfortably choose to drew the right hand and the left side profile; this may be one of my first times trying the opposite!
