Regarding my childhood, I don’t necessarily have a defined memory of interacting with the other children at the playground. While their laughter echoed down the streets, I chose to stay home, overwhelmed by my own vast imaginations of the lost princesses, the magical crystal trees, and the fairies that lived in the unfathomable enchanted forest. In the midst of the peaceful silence, I developed creativity through the world created by my innocent reverie. To express my imagination, one activity I immensely enjoyed was art. I admired the ample white canvas that set neither boundaries nor limits to the stories I could tell, to the memories I could preserve, and ultimately, to the world I could paint.

Art pervades my life like the flow of time. It never fails to evoke a renewed sense of fascination within me, forever absorbing my subconscious into its trenches of subjectivity. I continue to inhabit Art’s universe, candidly painting it with the tongue of my mind—sometimes overflowing with myriad fantasies, unspeakable secrets, or nostalgic memories, my universe speaks a thousand words.

As our world continues to diverge into innumerable identities amid the emergence of newfound cultures, I believe that Art is the universal language that intertwines unique perspectives indescribable to our tongues. Wanting to locate such perspectives unknown to me, I only wish to share this language with others as an aspiring animator!

I haven’t worked a lot with 3D artworks until this year, which made this semester more challenging and exciting for me! To give information on personal interests, I’ve been practicing a lot with digital artworks recently–I love animations, and I especially enjoy drawing figures.
