Considering the Human Element

You have been searching for and testing solutions since the first mini course. You’ve probably iterated on ideas many times and have a good understanding of why something could work or why it wouldn’t. Before we take a look at creating a pitch for your idea let’s take a look at a concept behind what drives change.

The videos below introduce the idea of “Elephant and the Rider”. This idea considers the technical but also the emotional side of driving change. It’s important to consider both when pitching your idea since you’ll be speaking with people and not robots.
