This is a Creepy Crawler

It is made of wire

In the creepy crawlers project we had to pick three different parts of three different insects and place them together to form a new insect. This project developed from the theory that being able to draw an insect will help with understanding of its parts. Personally, I chose to do the body of a caterpillar, the wings of a butterfly, and the head of a beatle. The concept seemed like it would be easy, form the wire to the shape of each part and attach it to the base/caterpillar. When I actually tried to do it though it was a lot more difficult because the wire didn’t want to change from its winded up state. I had to redo the base and the wings three or four times because I couldn’t get it the way I wanted it. After doing it over and over again, I finally got it to be as best as I could. I don’t love it because I wish I could have made it better but I don’t hate it because it still looks cool. Going into the project I didn’t really have a goal in mind because I had never worked with wire before so I tried not to have any expectations.
