1. By depicting a beautiful, naked woman in their advertisement, the marketing team at BMW hoped to draw the attention of male customers through some form of sexual appeal. The woman seems to be inviting the viewer thus giving the impression that BMW is inviting the viewer to come see their used cars.
  2. The tag line “You know your not the first.” implies that even though you know that this woman has most likely been in sexual relationships with someone else you are still willing to get in a sexual relationship with her. In regards to BMW, this means that even though you know someone else has used their car you are still willing to buy it because BMW’s product is high quality.
  3. Going to West Hills Community college is a financially wise decision that will reap benefits for you in the future.
  4. The words “and save” are written in a different font in order to create a feeling of distinction between West Hill and other colleges. You can learn in every college but saving money is something that West Hill College is trying to use as a selling point.
  5. I would not be convinced because 600$ for two-years of college seems too good to be true. The numbers they provide do not seem grounded with reality. I would contact their office or do my own research to find the actual cost of attending their college.
  6. Personally, the BMW advertisement has no effect on my opinion of BMW’s. I would drive a used BMW regardless of whether or not this advertisement existed. But I did find it amusing how they were willing to put a risque image in public in order to sell their product. This advertisement practice is not very common for a classy corporation like BMW.
