I had very high expectations of GSU coming into the first week of school. GSU has exceeded all of them. I love it here! I am a little biased because I’m an Atlanta guy and I have lived here my whole life. One of the main reasons I chose GSU is because I didn’t feel like I could leave this great city. The other reason is because of the Men’s golf team. I am proud to say that I was recruited by Georgia State to play golf. Golf is my absolute favorite thing to do. I really like my teammates and I feel like being an athlete here will provide many opportunities for me in the future. Also, everyone is so nice. People greet you with a smile and are very cordial. I came to college hoping to make lots of new friends and I think here at GSU I have the best opportunity of doing that. I am very excited to participate in GSU 1010. I’m am looking forward to learning so much more about the university. I feel that once I complete this class then I’ll truly be a part of the Georgia State community. Along with learning things about GSU, I also want to do some learning in the classroom. I am taking very interesting classes such as philosophy and human communication. The only real fear I have this year is that I’ll let extracurricular activities distract me from my schoolwork but this fear has made me focus more and buckle down on my school work. Other than that I’m ready to go for my freshman year and the other years ahead!
