The Vark survey told me that I am a kinesthetic learner. Kinesthetic learning is a learning style in which learning takes place by the students carrying out physical activities, rather than listening to a lecture or watching demonstrations. I have always learned best by physically doing things. I’ve always had some trouble learning when teachers stand at the front of the room and lecture or just hand out worksheets. I need to be very “hands on” with the material or it will go right over my head!
Sam that’s really cool that we both are kinesthetic learners! I think we both are very “hands on” people, so that’s why we learn best by doing things. This learning style has also been very helpful for both of us when we are studying together for a final exam, as we both know what type of learning styles to engage ourselves in, in order to achieve the best grade possible. This survey was very helpful because I’ve always thought I was a kinesthetic learner, and the survey has confirmed it for me and cleared up a lot of confusion. I look forward to studying together more often in this way!
