Recycled Beings

The art of reshaping recycled objects and changing our perspective.

This piece was created out of a can, wooden sticks, and a star bucks cup. I created this piece not limiting it to one way of seeing it, my objective was not create a single image out of it,  so that it can be viewed a different way every time you rotate or turn the object. Drawing this piece took me a while, I actually created three sketches before deciding which position.

BTS

The First Show

This picture is one of the first fashion shows I attended being both a model and a photographer. These are a couple of my close friends and family that I captured behind the scenes in the fitting room after going down the run way. This fashion show was in support of one of sisters time and creativity through her years of experience and expression in clothes.

Tummy Painting

This picture is one of my unfinished abstract pieces. The reason I captured it before it was finished is because this part of the process was my favorite. The blank eyes added a story more than the final product. My goal was to make the picture give a deep attraction, intending for others to find themselves in the picture if they could and make a connection with this piece, especially at this moment of my process.

300Tummy

Tummy is one of the names I go by as an artist. This picture was taken by me. I also directed this shoot and dressed the models as well as gave a visual and did some editing to aim for a certain look. The purpose of this picture is actually for my clothing line. I made the denim jacket with mixed media like paint and patch work. I also created the mesh jacket and jeans. I would describe my work a mixture of high fashion and street fashion with a hint of androgynous features.

“Boys Will Be Who they Want!”

Boys Will Be Boys Remake

This piece is a collage of magazine cut outs used to make a body. All of the cut outs are pieces from different male and female bodies to make one body. The concept of the photo is to go against the rules in society of what a man “should be.” Instead I wanted to use the different parts of both sex in support of the LGBTQ community for the recognition of gays and transgender. The term “Boys Will be, crossing out boys and adding Whoever they want to be to emphasize the message of acceptance in being who you are and taking pride in yourself.
