Drawing 1 Projects

My Family’s “Great Migration” from the rural south (1920’s – 40’s) to the New England (Rhode Island and Massachusetts). They were among 6 million African Americans trying to escape racism in the Jim Crow South.

This 2D drawing was created on 18″x 24″ drawing paper using India ink, charcoal and graphite pencil. Techniques included cross-hatching and cross contouring.

My Family’s “Great Migration” – 2D drawing

The following still life images were created using multiple objects at various heights using a single, directional light source. We had to ensure that all objects had correct proportions and placement. Tools included willow/vine charcoal and 6B charcoal and graphite pencils on 18″ x 24″ drawing paper.
