Hello, I’m Ruby Simmons and welcome to my portfolio website. After retiring from the corporate world a couple of years ago, I decided to return to school for my Associates Degree in Art Studio through the GSU 62 Program. I have learned so much in Drawing, Art history and 3D design classes. And never thought I would be making 3D sculptures from 8″x 11″ typing paper or use of simple material like soap, clay and wire!

I am originally from New England, but have lived in the Atlanta over 15+ years. I love it here but I do miss the ocean. So I’ll paint or create anything that brings back fond memories of the ocean. I have taken many picture during my travels…Jamaica, Aruba, Costa Rica and Hawaii.. and now have the opportunity to turn that passion into my own artwork.
