Important Dates!

March 17, 2026: Deadline to rent regalia.

April 4, 2026: Deadline to fill out the Graduate Info Request form.

April 24, 2026 (5PM ET): Final day to pass your dissertation defense in order to walk in the 2025 commencement ceremony. It IS required to pass your dissertation defense, at least orally, to walk in the ceremony.

May 8, 2026 (4PM ET): 2026 DBA Commencement and Hooding Ceremony (graduate line-up will begin at 3:30PM ET).

May 12, 2026 (5PM ET): Final day to upload your dissertation to ScholarWorks to have a spring 2026 graduation date on your transcript and diploma. It is NOT required that you upload your dissertation document to ScholarWorks in order to walk in the ceremony, as your advisor may give you a list of document edits to make before uploading (an oral pass contingent on document edits).

August 5, 2026 (5PM ET): If the May 11 deadline is missed, students have until July 31 to upload their dissertation to ScholarWorks, without requiring additional tuition. If students do not upload their dissertation by July 31, 5PM, ET, they will be registered for 3-credit hours for fall 2026 and required to pay additional tuition for fall 2026 (roughly 1/3 of a full DBA semester’s tuition).
