Job Placement for Doctoral Students

Job Market Coordinator

In order to prepare graduate students for the job market, the English Department has employed Dr. Michael Harker as Job Market Coordinator. In this role, Dr. Harker collaborates with graduate students, faculty, and administration to build a comprehensive plan to prepare English graduate students for the academic and alt-academic job markets.  Through the job placement program, students receive individual support and assistance developing job market materials. To further prepare for the market, individual “mock” job interview and job talks are held in addition to department-wide workshops and panels presented throughout the academic year.
