The Table of Contents guides the reader to the specific information in the report. It is a sequential listing of the contents with sufficient detail so that readers can find the exact content for which they are looking. It includes major sections and may include other headings. For example, the Results section might include references to each of the objectives addressed or even to individual survey questions.
Create the Table of Contents last. At that time, you will have determined the final titles of sections, headings and subheadings, and the associated page numbers.
