2.1.4 Inform Your Reader

Finally, the report must be written clearly and with sufficient detail so that readers know:

  • the objectives of the report
  • what you did to provide answers
  • what you found, and
  • how the evidence can be used to improve their decision-making.

To develop an effective report, the writer must be able to see how other people might misinterpret or misunderstand the writer’s meaning.
