conversation with use of precise words

Precise word choices and precisely-worded sentences ensure that the relevant facts are conveyed.  Phrases such as the database “was analyzed for information” or “was reviewed to gain insights” provide no precise information for the reader.

Many words used in everyday language have specific meaning in business analysis. Words such as significant, different, relationship, cause, effect, affect, and compare imply specific types of analysis. Be sure you are using them correctly.

To be precise, descriptions should convey the type of analysis and direction of effects. For an example that shows how imprecise writing may affect interpretation, see Get Your Terms Right.
