Chapter 12 is focused on punctuation rules. Vitto lays out ten separate uses of the comma to begin the chapter, most of which I was already aware of. However, the exercises she provided after detailing the rules were a great help. The rules on semicolons are especially useful, and I have been using a majority of them while writing papers throughout my time at Georgia State. I will make sure to refer to these rules while editing my paper. The only set of rules I was largely unfamiliar with was the set related to dashes. However, they made sense and were all rules I had seen adhered to in writing before. This chapter was simple for the most part, but I appreciate Vitto laying out these rules for us. They will be especially helpful before our third peer workshop.
