I thought I knew how to use “well” and “good” properly, but by the time I got to the first question of Exercise 4.1, I was seriously doubting myself. I think I’m getting the hang of it now though. So basically, you use an adverb (well, badly, etc.) for action verbs and use an adjective (good, bad, etc.) for be and linking verbs, right?
Also, the bit about misplacing adjectives and adverbs on page 109 was a bit confusing. The example at the top of 110 says that “I was even included” is wrong and “Even I was included” is right. Basically, should “even” always go before a noun, not a verb or anything else? Because, “I was even included” sounds like it could work too.
