The above image represents the three types of lessons we will do. The types include Letter Fluency, Spelling, and Sentence Writing.
We begin with Letter Learning, which is basically learning how to write all of the letters of the alphabet. We start Spelling activities while we are still doing some letters, so these two overlap. The Spelling activities range from adding the initial consonant, to ending consonants, vowels, and complete CVC words.
While we are progressing through the Spelling activities, we will begin the Sentence Writing lessons. In these, students become aware of what a sentence is, copy sentences, and generate their own sentences. We also introduce combining two short sentences into one longer sentence.
